Un racconto di quatro ristoranti

Birthday dinner last week was at my favourite Italian Restaurant in the Denver Area, Valente's. Always good and with a fun wine selection (it has several good small label Italian wine producers, we had a very nice Chianti Gabianno).

It is a pleasant combo of “family style” American Italian and new interpretations of Italian food. I had what was called Venetian Pesto with was a white sauce based pesto with artichoke hearts, fresh tomatoes, basal, garlic and chicken. Yummy.

My favourite Boulder Italian restaurant closed back in September, but I found out that it reopened in the new Crossroads a few weeks back. So, I may need to make a trek to see how the new Laudisio is compared to the old one.

My second favourite Italian place in Boulder is Frasca simply for the wine list alone. The food is good and tasty, but the wine list makes it worth the trip.

Reading Westword the other day they had a review of a place that just sounds wonderful and a must try sometime:

The British Bulldog a UK/Pakistani restaurant…so a little microcosm of London all in one place. Since the Hungarian thing fell through, this might be something else worthy of a group outing.
