Between the Luddite and the Tech Diva…
There is Me.
One thing about me is that I tend to look at tech items as a benefit for me and because of this I tend to have an odd relationship to the techy bits in my life. One of these odd relationships is the one I have with my Cell Phone.
Now, while there are some folks who do not have Cell Phones, and then on the opposite side are folks that seem see their Cell Phones as new Very Important Appendage that requires it to do all sorts of non-phone functions…and again, there is me.
So, Sunday as I drove up to Leadville** to check up on some stuff for Mom, and just so see all the snow, I pulled my cell phone out of my pocket and noticed that it was dead. Now, this was not so much of a surprise since I really do not remember the last time I had plugged it into a charger (had to have been January, before I went and saw Sweeny Todd since I do remember turning it off at the beginning of the movie). So yes, it had been off and out of power for at least a month, and I really hadn’t missed it.
So, you will of course be shocked, SHOCKED I tell you that I was completely bowled over when it started beeping all over the place after I pulled it off the charger after lunch today and turned it on. Part of the bowling over is that Random now has a Cell Phone (I am glad that someone in the Catherder family has one. :) ) and sent a text message!

And I had a message from him from last night.
So, I will need to try and do that whole texting thing back at him.
