So the Oscars were last night, and it pretty much went as I’d expected (with the exception being Best Supporting Actress which I had thought should have gone to either Ruby Dee or Cate Blanchett…who was in the best looking Maternity Dress I have ever seen).
Now I haven’t watched it in a couple of years for the simple fact that I would watch it from the pre-show until the end….and for the major reason being that it was a great outlet of Snarky/Catty goodness mocking and making fun of the things folks decided to wear, do or say. And to be honest being Snarky is only fun if you have someone of like mind watching it and being snarky as well. Busting each other up with pithy and witty comments is just plain good times.
So, no, for that reason I have not watched it in many years, though I do miss them.
What in the heck was up with Tilda Swinton with that whole Goth-with-the-Carol-Burnett-drapery look she had going on?
And "Shakespeare’s Tart" was elegant as always, and anytime her or Judy Dench are nominated, they should just give them the win.
