And Doug Bruce (R-Wacko) is just one of those Gifts.

First we had him demanding when he would be sworn into office, which was refused. Then demanding to give a speech to the full Colorado House, which was refused. This was quickly followed by him kicking a News Photographer during a house prayer before he was a member of the house.

Because of all of this Doug Bruce was the first member of the Colorado House to ever be censured.

This week has brought us even more Doug Bruce entertainment.

He was the lone none vote on a resolution in support of Veterans and for the folks from Ft. Carson that have just returned from Iraq. Now, remember, he is from El Paso county, the home of Ft. Carson and Focus on the Family. He was called a man of no Honour by the House Republican Leader, and managed to upset the rest of the GOP members of the House.

On the Drive home Last night the Right Wing radio show had him on and it had me think that if the Righty host could climb through the phone line and beat Bruce senseless he would have. The “Liberal” host just sat back and tossed in a few bon mots to fuel the fire every so often.

It was beautiful.

And now we have the cherry on top bit of fun.

House Republican Leader Mike May, R-Parker, removed Rep. Douglas Bruce, R-Colorado Springs, from the House State, Veterans, and Military Affairs Committee on Friday. "I no longer believe it is in the best interest of the House nor for the active-duty or retired military personnel of Colorado to have Representative Bruce continue to serve on the committee of reference for veterans and military affairs," May said.

He refused to sign on as a co-sponsor of the veterans resolution and then refused to vote on the health-care resolution.
The House then voted 51-13 to force him to vote on the health-care resolution.
He responded by voting against the resolution and shouting "Are you happy?" to his colleagues.

Ah yes….Way to go El Paso County.
