Really…
I should just learn to ignore KCFRs weather reports while listening to the alarm clock radio in bed while waking up.
This mornings report was clear, high of 50, chance of rain in the afternoon, chance of rain in the evening and a low of 20. So while I pondered the concept of rain and 20 degrees, and the chance of that happening, I showered and dressed and when I stepped out the door…
Snow Flurries!
KCFRs weather reporting, about as accurate as Cokie Roberts, Juan Williams or Mara Liasson...
..or...
Completely accurate for Centennial and considers Centennial to encompass the entire "Front Range".
on the other hand, here is NOAAs forecast...which they could just use and report:
A chance of snow before noon, then a slight chance of rain showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 58. Breezy, with a west northwest wind 7 to 10 mph increasing to between 17 and 20 mph. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Really it is just that simple instead of whatever they are doing every morning down at KCFR.
