So, this is how the other half lives…

Last night I got to go to a Rockies game and sit in one of the Coors families seats.

They were spiffy!

Section 121, row 10….this is the first time I have ever been able to set at a game and watch the fly balls fly over head….it was an odd sensation. ;P The seats were on the Home side just a bit to the right of First Base, so, it was great to be able to watch the batter and the pitches and the strike zone with out the aid of Binoculars, or to see a close play at first base….and hear the ball hit the glove and watch the hitter step just a *bit* after the sound. A close play and it was great to be able to have a TV like experience.

The families old season tickets were above the out of town score board in right field, just under the deck in section 108. Great for afternoon games, not so much for the 4th of July games. ;P Homeruns that came that direction had the potential to make it seem like you were in a Pachinko game if folks missed catching the ball before it hit the deck or seats.

- Found out where the Radar gun for the pitches is located….just to the right of the home dugout.

-Watched some of the worst pitching I have ever seen and joked that it looked like Alberto Arias was trying to pitch for the rotation (a hit, a double, a triple, a Home Run) in the 2/3’s of an inning he was in. Plus….Dude…at least try and pitch above the batters knees, because no one was going to go fishing for pitches that are barely above their shoe laces.

-Yay! A bottom of the 9th with two outs rally! A two run Home Run and then a Double! Yeah, some times even if the home team loses, that kind of game is just good times. :)

Observation: If you have a freakinghugetastic TV….it is probably not a good idea to be watching pr0n…with the curtains open….on a closed 21st street where folks are walking into the front of Coors Field. Just saying.

It's like people who watch, um, inappropriate movies on their car DVD player. At night. Or (assuming it's just a matter of unawareness of permeable boundaries) like folks who have loud conversations on their cell phones in the middle of other people.

Yeah....the phone thing is worse with those bluetooth things that make you think they are talking to you.
